ScreamRide The first game mode is the mode in which pilot must fly a car going at full speed on a roller coaster. Yes, you read that, you’ll have to drive on rails! If the concept in itself is already quite surprising, I must admit that this mode is not the most exciting. The player has to manage several tasks, starting with the acceleration and braking to avoid sending its passengers waltz at the first corner. The second task is to manage the direction or rather the fact to lean to one side or the other in order again to offset the effects of centrifugal force, but also to avoid some obstacles on the track. Indeed, some sections are monorail, forcing to pass on the 2 wheels for a moment in order to survive. Finally, it may be necessary to rely on diverse and varied touches to land after a jump or to bend down when air barrier, but also to complete a boost gauge to gain precious seconds. For this, it should be supported as late as possible on X at sections where the rails are blue and then press A to switch on the turbo. In the final part, a score is assigned based of their times, but not only because derailments, perfect sequences, time spent on 2 wheels or other successful landings also influence for good or bad on the final result.
The second game mode is meanwhile destroying environments by running over cars or gondolas. This mode can take many forms: a first in which one has a mechanical arm capable of launching platforms with different properties (one able to break into pieces in the air to maximize damage, another bouncing, etc. .), and a second form in which they squarely control a car on a rail which stops abruptly to propel us toward the target. In addition to standard cars, there is again explosive variants, with flanges or flares integrated for greater maneuverability. The goal remains the same: to do maximum damage by finding the sensitive points of each structure, be it a mainstay or explosive charge. Again, once all the ammunition exhausted, we are assigned a score depending on many parameters. Obviously, the damage is considered, but the destruction of drones, passing through rings or other targets also provide some bonus points to unlock many stars. This mode makes a little deja vu and has generally not a special interest, particularly because of a very low difficulty, but the management of physics is largely correct, which is already more compared to the Driver Mode .
